In this class, you will learn exactly what functionalities Instagram offers, which ones are your best choices, and how to use them (like for example, how to create white spaces in between text when you. post!). Hands-on, this lesson will you get started right away!

Followers on Instagram? Who?

You might know the concept of friends from Facebook? In this lesson you will learn the difference between friends on Facebook, and followers on Instagram. We guide you through how you can follow people on Instagram and give background as to why people follow you. Plus we tell you what the benefits are of having followers and how to increase the number of followers on your Instagram account.

A 'grid'? What's that?

When you post to Instagram, a grid is built using your posts. It's like a photo. A work of art, or just your personal photo album. But who is actually viewing the grid that you're building? And having a personal one, ok. But how do you build a professional grid? How often do you have to post on your grid and what captions do you use when posting? In this third lesson, you will learn everything about the Insta grid and how to create a professional looking business grid that's in line with your purpose.

Tell stories with Stories and Reels

You can also post Stories and Reels on Instagram. The power of video is REAL. But what is the difference between a Story and Reel? And why would you post Stories or Reels if you already post on your grid? How can you respond to stories of others and how do people respond to your stories? And uhm, stickers? GIF? What? In this fourth lesson we give you some powerful pointers about videos, and what they can do for your business.

Engagement, what is it and what's in it for me?

Engagement is a marketing term that refers to interaction between you, your customers, and/or your products. The definition: "Social media engagement measures the public shares, likes and comments for an online business' social media efforts." In this fifth lesson, you will learn why engagement is important for your Instagram. We also share tips on how to get more engagement on your posts and stories, and tell you where to look for it.

#Hashtags

What are #hashtags? How do you use hashtags to see posts you like on Instagram? And more importantly, how can you use hashtags to get more people to see YOUR posts? What hashtags to use? And how many? Do you have to use English hashtags or can you use hashtags in other languages as well? We'll tell you all about #hashtags in this sixth lesson. From creating your own hashtag to how to avoid shadow banning.

Instagram can be used almost anywhere in the world. Still, local posts are very important on Instagram. In fact, local is becoming THE future, yet again! So how can you indicate your location in a post or story on Instagram? And why would you do this, what added value does it have for your business, your shopping center, shopping street, city, or village? This seventh lesson is all about the power of local and how to use it on Instagram.

As a local entrepreneur, your personal touch and your personal network are the keys to your success. Your customers come to you, because of YOU.
